Household Staff: Some Tips To Get Jobs Through Staffing Agency

Lost your job? Changing careers? Not having luck finding a job through the classifieds? Try using an Employment Agency to help you find a job. They specialize in matching prospective employees with companies looking to fill job openings. Here are some tips which help you to choose a right household staff agency.
  1. Step 1
CHECK the Yellow Pages, Employment Guides or the Internet for a list of Employment Agencies in your local area.
  1. Step 2
DETERMINE whether you want a permanent job or a temporary job. Many employment agencies focus either on long-term/permanent job placement or short-term/temporary job placement. Some agencies do both.
  1. Step 3
KNOW the difference between permanent and temporary job placement. If you're hired for permanent job placement, the employment agency places you with a company that hires you as full-time, regular employee.
  1. Step 4
TEMPORARY job placement places you with companies that hire you for one day to several months. Once the job is completed you get another temporary job assignment with another company.
  1. Step 5
MANY employment agencies specialize in career fields such as clerical, health care, technical, etc. Call the agency that best fits your professional experience, and setup an interview with an Employment Counselor.
  1. Step 6
GET registered with an agency. Go to the agency dressed professionally. Have your resume prepared and updated. You will fill out an application. You will likely be tested in general office and/or basic computer skills.
  1. Step 7
STAY in contact with the Employment Counselor/Recruiter. Call once a week or twice a month.
